Protected: Nature Place – Part II

On the 21st of February we visited our nature place for the second time. The last few days the temperature had been rising and all the snow started to melt. While walking to our nature place it felt like we were stepping through an icy river!
Once arrived at our nature place, we noticed little change. There was still a lot of snow covering the ground (a little bit more dense since it started to melt) and the plants around it. The reeds, which last time were encased in ice, were now also covered with snow. It was a very foggy day so the amount of sun we were able to measure was almost non-existent.

In the distance we were able to hear some crows cawing, but at our nature place there was no physical life except us.
Although we didn’t see animals in our nature place, we were able to spot some animal tracks! Perhaps of a duck or other bird like animal.

Hopefully next time more of the snow will be molten and we can see change within our nature place!
