Om this day we went to mølen beach in Larvik. we took the maxi taxi from school and drove for more than an hour when we reached the area we met with a guide who gave us gloves and vests so we started collecting litter. first, the guide explained that the area was a reserved area and nobody was allowed to take anything like the rocks, the place had very beautiful rocks. the terrain left behind after the end of the most recent ice age around 10,000 years ago. Mølen is one of Larvik’s most popular tourist attraction the teacher also explained the types of rocks that were found there. species of rock, including Norway’s national stone, Larvikite, we also learned that there was a grave mount there from the Viking age. wish I found so fascinating.
A lot of the litter was plastic bottles and plastic materials even one student picked up a carpet others found big wood sticks and the was a lot of seaweed on the area their also a lot of home materials that meant that most of the materials were from peoples residents. the litter is most likely from Germany, Finland, Sweden and most of the nordic areas.
it is very important for us human beings to help clean and collect all these litters in the eater areas especially when it comes to animals leaving in the seas or oceans, having plastic materials or other toxics objects it makes it very easy for them to die or even having trouble moving around if they are caught in this materials.
In my country, it would be very beneficial for this type of work. we have very beautiful beaches which are full of toxic waste which is very bad for the environment. all thought private companies have tried to clean by themselves but still, this is not enough. I think if a program like this would really benefit my home country. i believe that by doing this type of work it not only benefits the enviroment , but we are making a better world for the next generation.
