Outdoor learning activities

Today I and Lena and my son explored  the area around Boreehaugene and followed  the track of the Vikings  to see what type of activities we can find for play and learning with children

We first drew a map that  we followed

We drew a map for what – how – why use interesting places with children.

Here you can watch our video!

Why does wood float?

Because wood is less dense than water. That means that the same amount of water is heavier than the same amount of wood. A stone, for example, is denser than water. That´s why it sinks. Also, ice floats because the density is lower than the density of water as water expands when it freezes. Most things that float have a lot of air in them what makes them light and gives them buoyant.
